The University of Jos has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of Eight (8) of its students in a ghastly motor accident that occurred along the New Stadium axis of Zaria Road, Jos. The unfortunate incident happened when the students allegedly were returning from a party round about 3 am.
Mr. I. A. Yusuf, and Mrs. A. A. Adugbe. Mrs. Martina Ferdinand was a very hard-working pioneer Chief technologist of the Department, until her unfortunate demise in 2019. The Department is currently coordinated by Dr. E. S. Idoga. The Department of Veterinary Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology at the moment has four (4) units, namely Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and Toxicology, with staff dedicated to teaching and quality research in these areas. The Department offers about 18 courses at undergraduate level. The Department also offers Post Graduate degrees in Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Pharmacology, and Veterinary Toxicology. The Department manages the Pharmacy Unit of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University, and staff members of the Department are open to local, national, and international collaborations in teaching, research, and community development.
