Are you passionate about making a positive impact on global health and sustainability? The University of Jos (UNIJOS) invites you to embark on a transformative journey with our NEW Postgraduate Diploma Program in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH).

This Postgraduate Diploma programme will be a one semester Eighteen (18) weeks of Lecture online, in-person or both; and another semester Eighteen (18) of field practicum/internship at an appropriate site to be chosen by the student.

However, Registration and Examinations must be onsite at University of Jos, Nigeria.

Basic Admission Requirements

The criteria for admission into the PGD Programme will be as follows.

Educational Qualifications:

1. All candidates must have five credit passes at 'O' Level, including English, Mathematics, and two other relevant science subjects.
2. Bachelor's Degree Holders: Candidates with a bachelor’s degree from an approved university must have obtained a minimum of a Third-class degree in biological sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, environmental sciences, public health, social sciences, humanities, engineering, and any relevant science discipline.
3. HND Holders: Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) in relevant programs from approved institutions must have obtained a minimum of Lower Credit, such as Community and Environmental health.

Duration of Programme

Full-time Postgraduate Diploma programme shall run for One academic session of two semesters. Eighteen weeks (18) of Lectures (Online, In-person or both) and another Eighteen weeks of field practicum/internship, Community engagement and Research Project.

Requirements for Graduation

1. The Candidates must pass ALL prescribed courses with a minimum of 60% for each course taken.
2. Candidates must have 75% attendance in lectures and field practicum.
3. Candidates must submit a Project Paper at the end of the programme, which accounts to 30 % of the course Work.
