Nwosu Loretta Kelechi is a renowned entrepreneur and educationist who has played instrumental roles in different foundations, organizations and institutions. She hailed from the Eastern part of Nigeria. She obtained her FSLC in 1993 and WAEC in 2001. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics Education with second class upper division at University of Nigeria Nsukka in 2006. Over the years Loretta has exhibited her entrepreneurial skills in Shea Butter making and processing with Women Foundation for Shea Butter Making Skills (WOFSHEAMS) FCT Abuja in collaboration with US based shea company, Saleton International. This platform gave her opportunities of training rural women and attending conferences, workshops, seminars and trade fairs both nationally and internationally with National Network of Women Exporters (NNWES), Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA), African Growth Opportunity Act (AGOA) among others. Loretta has been partnering with shea butter producers in marketing the product and has been involved in series of Export Promotion meetings. She has also worked with different organizations and educational institutions both at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels. She has served as a program coordinator for grade level children and for children with autism at Royal Family Academy, FCT, Abuja. In this role, she became acquainted with some of the concerns about children and teens behavior. She specifically worked with the autistic children to find out how they learn and process information and look for ways to improve their performance. She thoroughly enjoyed working with student’s intelligence for effective learning outcomes. These experiences propelled her second degree, Masters in Psychology at University of Port Harcourt. She gained knowledge of how to apply psychological theories, ideas and methods to education and the various methodical strategies to improve teaching and learning process, both in the classroom and beyond. This also gave her the opportunity of working as a counselor for People living with HIV/Aids (PLWA) at Aids HealthCare Foundation (AHF) in Anambra State. In 2014, she proceeded to Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri, Imo State where she served as an exam officer for Alvana and Lecturer III in the Department of Social Sciences (Economics Unit). This opportunity propelled her third Degree, Masters in Economics of Education at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She then proceeded to University of Jos, Nigeria where she is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Social Science Education, Faculty of education. She loves reading, traveling and socializing. She is married with children.
