Area of Specialization: Agronomy (Weed Science)
Nuhu Adamu GWORGWOR is currently a Professor of Agronomy (Weed Science) at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jos, Jos, Nigeria. He is a graduate with Ph.D. (Agron.) from Philipps University, Marburg, Germany, 1993 and M.Sc. (Agron.), 1986 and B.Sc. Agric, 1981 both from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. It was then he pursued a career in academics as it were. He has publisted more than 100 articles in various journals and proceedings. He has graduated about 24 postgraduate candidates at M.Sc and Ph.D levels. He is a Fellow the prestigious Fellowships of the Alexander von Humboldt Fiundation, Germany and the Fulbright African Scholar, USA. He has had extensive research in weed management and control in intercropping systems, and especially in parasitic weed control of Striga, Cuscuta and Oribanche species in cereals and legume crops in tropical Nigeria. He likes travelling, photography, Web browsing and reading.
