1. ROLE OF THE DIRECTORATE OF ALUMNI RELATIONS
The role of the Directorate of Alumni relations in the University of Jos includes the following;
i. Liaison between the University of Jos and Alumni through outreach, events and recognitions.
ii. Build interactive Alumni support for University of Jos and develop activities, programs, projects and initiatives where individuals can assist the University towards achieving institutional goals.
iii. Attract development and other institutional support drives to the University through influential and strategically placed Alumni.
iv. Constant communication with Alumni and keeping them informed about the University and each other.
v. Participation frequently in Alumni Association activities.
vi. Oversees the Alumni Directorate’s Website and create, maintain and manages’ Alumni database in close collaboration with the ICT Directorate.
vii. Organizes pre – Alumni activities to mobilize and cultivate the spirit of donations, support and giving among students and be visible in university community events.
viii. Manages the Alumni Endowment Fund of the University.
ix. Partner with relevant units to support the internalisation of the University
x. Preparation of annual budget for Alumni Relations.
