Pastor Nuhu Sani Emerges Vice Chairman of Unified Nigerian Alumni Body
PASTOR NUHU SANI EMERGES VICE-CHAIRMAN FOLLOWING 2024 CAANU/ANUA UNITY CONVENTION
President of the University of Jos Alumni Association (UJAA) Worldwide, Pastor Nuhu Sani has been affirmed as Vice Chairman, Association of Nigerian Universities Alumni (ANUA) representing the North Central. At the historical event which took place in Abuja on Saturday the 7th of December, 2024, the two warring factions (CAANU and ANUA,) that had hitherto been divided and operated as parallel bodies, united under the Umbrella body of all Nigerian Universities Alumni Associations (ANUA).
The two groups buried their differences, now merging into one united body known as "Association of Nigerian Universities Alumni (ANUA)", given that the name had long been fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
The National Executive Councils (NEC) of the two bodies were subsequently dissolved and a new NEC put in place to run the unified body for the next four years.
For the records, no elections took place, offices were only shared among the two dissolved bodies and members were nominated to fill the available positions.
From the CAANU side, Professor Yakubu Aboki Ochefu emerged as the Chairman of the Unified ANUA.
