Dr Goyol holds a Doctorate degree in Disaster Management from the University of Salford, Manchester, UK specializing in Climate Related Disasters and Building Community Resilience. Goyol also holds a Masters’ degree in Environmental and Resources Planning and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography both from the University of Jos, Nigeria. Goyol’s interest cover consulting for sustainable development planning, waste management and circular economy solutions, eco-friendly Infrastructure development, as well as environmental education and awareness. Goyol is a member of a number of national and international associations including Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG), Nigerian Environmental Society (NES), Women Organizing for Change in Agriculture and Natural Resources Management (WOCAN), Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), among others.
Dr Goyol who has taught now for 18 years in the Higher Education Sector has over 20 publications to her name and has participated in both national and international conferences. Besides teaching researching, and offering community services, Goyol serves as the Postgraduate officer, Department of Geography and Planning; Safeguard officer, Centre for Excellence in Food Security, University of Jos,; Secretary, Earth and Physical Sciences Cluster for University of Jos Research ethics committee, Office of Research and Development (ORD); and Faculty of Environmental Sciences representative to the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
