PGD Admission Requirements
Person with B.Sc. degree in Zoology, Microbiology or combined honors with 3rd class, or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Animal Health and Production, Range Management or related fields with three years post qualification experience in relevant areas. This is in addition to credit passes in relevant ‘O’ Level science subjects including Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Health Science, Agricultural Science with English and Mathematics.
M.Sc. Admission Requirements
For admission into any of the M. Sc. programmes of the Department, candidates must possess:

- Five (5) ‘O’ Level credits in Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics and Physics.
- DVM, MBBS, BSc, minimum of second class lower in Animal Science or Zoology, Microbiology, or related fields.
- Any other qualification as may be specified for a particular programme or by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the University Postgraduate School.

MPhil/Phd. Admission Requirements
For admission into any of the PhD programmes of the Department, candidates must possess:

- Five (5) ‘O’ Level credits in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language and Mathematics.
- DVM, MBBS or their equivalent.
- MSc Applied Parasitology & Entomology, MSc. Zoology or MSc. in other relevant fields.
- Obtained a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a scale of 5.0 during their Master’s programme.
- Demonstrate sound intellectual capability and the ability to initiate academic and research activities and carry them out to logical conclusion.
- Any other qualification as may be specified for a particular programme or by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the University Postgraduate School.
