He earned a bachelor's degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and a master's degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His areas of expertise include waste management, hydrology, and water resources.

He is a Lecturer II by rank and has been with the university for five years, conducting research, teaching, and providing services. He is a member of both the Association of Nigerian Geographers and the Hydrological Society of Nigeria.
