GOVERNOR MUTFWANG CELEBRATES PROFESSOR TANKO ISHAYA, OTHER PLATEAU CITIZENS, SONS AND DAUGHTERS HONOURED WITH SCIENTIFIC AWARDS AS PROF. DANLADI MATAWAL EMERGENCES PRESIDENT OF ANSE

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang had also rejoiced with Vice-Chancellor, University of Jos, Professor Tanko Ishaya as well as other distinguished sons, daughters, and citizens of the SANSE Group Pixtate who have been bestowed with the highest Scientific and Professional Honours in Nigeria by the prestigious Academy of Natural Science and Engineering in Nigeria (ANSE).

In a Press Statement issued in Jos on Thursday, 11th July, 2024 and signed by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor, Gyang Bere, Governor Mutfwang, also joined numerous well-wishers and associates in congratulating Professor Danladi S. Matawal, his Special Adviser on Projects Monitoring and Evaluation on his election as President of the Academy of Natural Science and Engineering in Nigeria (ANSE).

Governor Mutfwang expressed joy at the achievements of the Awardees such as Professor Ishaya, who have distinguished themselves in various disciplines and areas of Scientific and professional endeavours which has earned them the position of Fellowship of the Academy.

The Governor saluted these distinguished individuals for their milestones and noted that their enduring legacies of excellence, commitment, and professionalism will continue to shine not only in Nigeria but globally and urged them to continue making the State proud while carrying out their respective assignments.

According to the Statement, Governor Mutfwang encouraged the Awardees to be inspired by the honour bestowed on them to do more for God and humanity, and to leverage their wealth of experience to improve the living conditions of Nigerians.

Among the recipients of the highest Scientific and Professional honours were Professor Danladi S. Matawal, Special Adviser on Projects Monitoring and Evaluation to the Governor and the Vice-Chancellor, University of Jos, Professor Tanko Ishaya.

Others are former Executive Secretary of TetFund, Professor Suleiman E. Bogoro; former Permanent Secretary, Engr. Esther G. Gonda; former Vice-Chancellor, Plateau State University, Bokkos, Professor Doknan Decent Sheni; and Emeritus Professor Samuel Y. Mbap, former Commissioner of Agriculture, Plateau State among several others.
