Professor Daniel Davou DABI, PhD obtained his (Honours) Geography (Second Class Upper) in 1988; and M.Sc. Environmental & Resources Planning (ERP) in 1991 both from the University of Jos, Jos, Nigeria. His PhD in Geography (Environment and Economic Impacts) was in 1999 from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Professor Dabi has many additional qualifications including: Principles and Practice of University Teaching, Implementing Higher Education Strategies and Policies, Environmental Resources Management (Land and Water), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Computer and Information Technology, Remote Sensing & GIS Applications, Application of GIS for Geo-profiling in Forensic Science, among others.

Professor Dabi has held many Academic and Administrative responsibilities including: Head of Department, Dean of Faculty and Deputy Vice-Chancellor between University of Jos and Plateau State University, Bokkos. During his career, Professor Dabi has taught many courses and supervised students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He supervised and graduated ten (10) PhD Theses with five (5) at different levels of completion; over thirty (30) MSc Dissertations; and no fewer than 100 BSc Projects. He has attended and presented papers in over 25 international, regional and national conferences, seminars and workshops. From the above, he has over 50 publications in reputable International and National Journals, Chapters in Books and Reports to his credit.

He is also a consultant to many government and international organizations and has attracted so many grants (national and international) to the University of Jos. Currently, he is the Director, Anthony Nyong Climate Center of Excellence (ANCCE), University of Jos
