Entry Requirements: To be eligible for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy degree programme, a student must have obtained a Master's degree from University of Jos or its equivalent from any other University recognized by Senate with CGPA not less than 3.5. Credit passes in five (5) WASCE/NECO/GCE (O'level) subjects and its equivalent as approved by the University Senate, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and Physics. The credit pass in Agricultural Science must be backed up with at least a pass in Biology. Passes at the Advanced Level in GCE, IJMB or an approved equivalent examination in two or three of Chemistry and Biology or Chemistry and Botany/Zoology.

Animal Farm Department of Animal Production has a well-built farm structure consisting of the following:

        • Poultry
        • Piggery
        • Rabbit pen
        • Sheep and goat pen

This will give the students the desired practical knowledge in addition to the theoretical knowledge in the class
