ACM Digital Library (DL)
The ACM Digital Library (DL) is the most comprehensive collection of full-text articles and bibliographic records in existence today covering the fields of computing and information technology. Africa Commons
Africa Commons uses a combination of free and for-fee services to ensure financial sustainability. All tools and most content are freely available to African institutions that register. Outside of Africa we offer institutional subscriptions based on institutional size. These funds support Africa Commons. Collections sponsored by nonprofits are open to all, and individual faculty may register and receive partial access. We’re working with The Antiquities Coalition and the Council for Library and Information Resources (CLIR) to build open collections of African cultural heritage. We welcome approaches from other organizations looking for a place to host their content. Any content sponsored by a nonprofit will be made freely available to all.

African Digital Library (ADL)
The African Digital Library (ADL) is a collection of Electronic Books (eBooks) that can be accessed and used free-of-charge by any person living on the African Continent. Individuals can access the library from any PC that is connected to the Internet in Africa. The objective of the ADL is to develop a digital library that is available free-of-charge, to residents and institutions of Africa, for academic and business use.

ARDI – Research for Innovation
The Access to Research for Development and Innovation (ARDI) program, coordinated by WIPO together with its partners in the publishing industry, aims to increase the availability of scientific and technical information in developing countries. By improving access to scholarly literature from diverse fields of science and technology, ARDI seeks to:

  • reinforce the capacity of developing countries to participate in the global knowledge economy; and
  • support researchers in developing countries in creating and developing new solutions to technical challenges faced on a local and global level.

For many years, The Essential Electronic Agricultural Library (TEEAL) has been improving access at institutions with limited Internet time and/or financial resources. It is a searchable, offline, digital library that contains mainly agriculturally-focused reference journals, as well as coverage in related subject areas. TEEAL is supplemented with documents produced in conjunction with programs and projects sponsored by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), the Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Agency (ATA), and the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA)
