PRESS RELEASE

UNIJOS APPROVES SUSPENSION OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Tanko Ishaya has, on behalf of Senate of the University, approved the suspension of Academic activities in the institution for the 2020/2021 Academic Session until further notice. This follows an emergency meeting of the University Management where the issue of the one month warning strike declared by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) was considered as it affects academic activities in the institution.

In light of the fact that there would be no lectures or similar activities taking place during the period of the warning strike, Management agreed that it would be in the best interest of the Students to allow them to return back home until academic activities can resume after the industrial action.

Students of the University are hereby advised to take note and strictly act accordingly please.
