Mangut Peter John is currently Assistant Lecturer in the economics education unit of the department of social education, University of Jos. Born on the 28th of February to the family of late Makai John Mahwash Malan of Shukur Village Area of Bokkos District of Bokkos LGA of Plateau State. He started his primary education at Pilot primary school Hwoshe, Jos and later went to pilot primary school Bokkos, he went to Bokkos community secondary schools Bokkos, now government secondary school Kopyal for his secondary school education and completed in 1995. In pursuit of His educational development, he went to college of education Gindiri in 1997 where he obtained his Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in 2000. He did his bachelor of science in economics education B.Sc. Ed and Master of Science Education (M.Sc., Ed) both in economics education from the University of Jos. His career started with the Plateau state local government service commission where he was employed as an executive officer (Finance) in Kanke LGA in 2003 and in December same that year, he got employment into the plateau state teachers service commission where he taught economics for 13 years before gaining employment in the university of Jos in December 2015 as a graduate assistant in the department of social science Education. He taught as a part-time lecturer at the Plateau State polytechnic (Human resource centre) Bokkos from 2016-2014, University of Jos consultancy services both extra mural and the diploma courses. He is a Ph., D student in the University of Jos. Married and blessed with five children. He published widely both internal and international. A goggle scholar, TETFUND research grant awardee, an analysis expert, ICT expert. A lover of God, music, reading and making adventures.
